Profhilo In Chester
The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology.
It is an injectable anti-ageing treatment designed to combat skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. It can be used on the face, neck, decollete, arms, hands and knees, or any part of your body where the skin shows visible signs of ageing. There is an immediately noticeable improvement in skin tone, hydration as well as firmness and lines are minimised. The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.
The treatment consists of 2 sessions 4 weeks apart. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo is solely a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.

Common Questions Asked About Dr Lucy's Aesthetics Treatments
Botox is not only an anti ageing tool to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It has countless uses in the face and body to produce different results. Gummy smile treatment is one such example.
A gummy smile usually occurs from overactivity of the lip elevator muscles which causes the lip to curl inwards and upwards high above the teeth when smiling. As a result, more of the gum is visibly exposed and the lip appears thinner. Some people choose to decrease how much gum is visible and increase the size of the upper lip.
We can target and relax specific lip elevator muscles to thereby reduce their lifting capability and reduce the proportion of gum that is visible when smiling.
In some cases, a combination approach with Botox and lip filler may produce the most effective result.
It is a non-surgical procedure involving the placement of Botox injections into specific muscles of the upper face.
The Botox relaxes these specific muscles which smooths out the skin but also allows the lifting muscles (forehead muscles) to have a greater effect, thereby elevating the brows and creating a more open eyed rested appearance.
The amount of lift that is achieved will vary between individuals and depends on existing brow position, age and strength of the lifting muscles.
It is minimally invasive, safe, quick and painless.
Results can be seen as early as 3 days but the full effect takes 2 weeks. On average, the treatment will last around 3-6 months. To maintain results, repeated treatments are necessary.
‘Baby Botox’ is a term given to describe Botox injections that are spread across the face in smaller amounts carried out in a personalised, delicate way and characterised by:
It is perfect for people who have shallow lines or want to prevent wrinkles forming over time.
Gone are the days where Botox would leave someone with a frozen, shiny expressionless face.
I aim to make Botox treatment subtle, so you will still look completely like yourself- just a fresher version.
This can be produced by carrying out Botox injections into one of the chewing muscles of the face, also called masseter muscles, which sit at the angle of the jaw.
These muscles contribute to the overall shape of the face. A square shaped face is often associated with ‘masculinity’ which can be problematic for some women who prefer a more ‘feminine’ oval V shape. This wide or square jaw shape can be caused by overactive masseter muscles, caused when chewing or through conscious or subconscious bruxism (teeth grinding). This can cause the masseter muscles to grow in size. By placing Botox into these muscles, they are temporarily relaxed which will cause them to reduce in size over a period of 4-6 weeks. The result can last 3-6 months.
This is called facial overfilled syndrome and is most often seen after multiple treatments with fillers. Instead of enhancing the face to produce a youthful result, it has an ageing distorted effect and can distract from a persons natural beauty. Aesthetic treatments should not be obvious and instead should rejuvenate the face and remain natural at all times
Why does this happen?
Prevention is better than cure!
Is the process of filler spreading or ‘migrating’ away from the injection site. This can happen in any location of the face but we often see and hear it spoken about most often with lip filler.
It can be identified as lumps and ridges and in the lip gives a shelf or duck like appearance as the filler sits above and outside the pink part of the lip. It can also spread backwards to sit in the inner ‘wet part’ of the lip. This more often than not gives an unnatural aesthetic appearance and is a big giveaway that you have had lip filler treatment.
What if my filler has migrated?
Although filler is typically metabolised by the body over 6-9 months, studies have shown filler can last much longer than this and it could take a while to see migrated filler fully break down.
Migrated filler can be easily treated using a dissolving enzyme called hyalase. This works by quickly breaking down the filler over a 24-48 hour period. Do not be tempted to add more filler to try to mask the problem as this will only make the migration worse.
What if my filler has migrated?
Choose a practitioner who avoids cheap products, opts for a high quality filler that is appropriate for use in the lips, and aims for a natural aesthetic result.
